In the vast majority of states, further learning and another examination will be needed before you can act as a broker in your own right, but you can study for these enhancements while you continue to earn money as an agent. A few states make no distinction, and simply have one all-encompassing real estate license program. In these states, it is simply a case of persuading the right company to give you a chance, or starting up your own operation.
